My counselling approach focuses on fostering genuine connections to help individuals navigate feelings of overwhelm, disconnection, and trauma. I often use dialectical and systems thinking which shapes my eclectic counselling style and approach. As such, I will strive to understand your context so that I can better understand you and the things going on in your life that bring you to therapy, as well as where I might be able to come alongside you in your journey so that we can together work towards achieving your goals. I typically draw from multiple therapeutic frameworks and blend techniques arising out of Psychodynamic, Rogerian, Adlerian, Existential, Gestalt, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, and various trauma processing and integration therapies, including OEI, to provide personalized support.
I have many years of experience working with trauma survivors, neurodiverse clients (individuals with differences in processing), and people who identify with various faiths or forms of spirituality and cultures, individually and in groups. As such, I am naturally trauma-attuned and culturally responsive. I regularly integrate brain, body, mind, and soul approaches and have experience helping recipients of psychedelic-assisted treatments process and integrate what they have experienced and learned from their journeys. I continue to be active, adventurous, and deeply connected to a personal faith and spirituality, one that has been forged through the fires of my own experiences with pain, grief and loss. My intention and hope are to help clients live meaningful lives and work towards their goals.
If this seems like a good fit for you, then please feel free to book a free consult!
